How to Grow Your Own Weed – Everything you Need to Know

Have you ever thought about growing your own weed at home? Now that weed is becoming more accessible to the general public in the United States, some places allow medical users to grow their own cannabis plants from home. Usually, this kind of privilege is saved for people with medical cards, but some states in the country are even allowing recreational users to legally grow their own weed at home. Who would have thought that we would be living in a time where people could legally grow marijuana in their house without having to hide it? While growing marijuana yourself is not exactly without its difficulties, it is not so hard that normal people like you and I are incapable of doing so.

That is why I wanted to write this article today. Growing your own weed can save you a lot of money in the long run if you are somebody that spends upwards of 3 or 4 hundred dollars at the dispensary each month. Plus, there is something special about being able to grow, harvest, and smoke your own cannabis. It truly makes the whole experience better. At any rate, one of the main concerns that people have about growing their own cannabis is how much room they have. Not everyone has a big backyard or outside garden where they can plant their cannabis. The good news is that it is completely possible, and beneficial, to grow your cannabis plants indoors! Just make sure that you adhere to the laws and guidelines about marijuana growing in your state. Most states only allow a certain amount of plants to be grown per household, so make sure that you do not plant more than what is allowed.

The great thing about growing marijuana indoors is that you are not limited to the weather or climate of your location. Instead of having to rely on mother nature to look kindly upon your cannabis plants, you simply create the sunlight, soil, and water that they will need through your own efforts. This allows you to have cannabis plants growing year round, and you can also experiment growing all different types of strains. Another great thing about growing your own cannabis is that you can let your plant get however big you want, and then control when the flowers are harvested. Some people like to wait a few weeks before harvesting. Either way, you will have basically all the weed you can want year round by growing your own. Also, it is nice to grow your cannabis indoors because of the fact that, even in legal marijuana states, your cannabis plants need to be out of sight from neighbors and the general public. So without further ado, let me tell you some things that you should know about growing your own marijuana plants.

Firstly, you are going to need some space in your home or apartment that is solely dedicated to growing cannabis. While you don’t need a ton of space, it is important to note that you won’t really be able to move your plants around all that much. Growing marijuana near a window is ideal since you will be able to vent air to the outside world. Like most things marijuana-related, growing the stuff smells very strongly! It’s not a bad idea to have a window where you can get rid of some of the smell. You also need to think about the climate and environment of your home or apartment too, since cannabis plants prefer certain conditions for growing. You want to choose a place that has colder, drier air for growing marijuana.
