Can you mix Marijuana with Hydroxyzine?

Atarax or Vistaril are considered hydroxyzine, which are medications that help with allergy treatment, nausea, and anxiety. Currently, Medscape says that if you’re going to use cannabis, you need to be cautious when combining this with hydroxyzine. That’s because it may cause some side effects including drowsiness that’s severe, dizziness, and also higher blood pressure and heart rate. This can trigger panic attacks, anxiety, and hyperventilation. If you want to use both, it’s best to just taper the use of the latter.

What Hydroxyzine is

This is an antihistamine that’s usually sold under the name Vistaril, Atarax, and other kinds of names. This is a first generation anticholinergic and sedative product, and also works as an antihistamine. You usually have this in tablet or liquid form, and topical is something that you put onto the skin, or through an injection that’s intramuscular.

Hydroxyzine is something that fits in the piperazine class which is basically a compound that includes a ring that’s got six members, with two of the various nitrogen atoms that are at different positions.

How this works

Hydroxyzine is something that’s commonly used for hives, itching, and allergies, especially if you have contract dermatitis. Other types of uses include it being anti-anxiety, also anti-emetic to help with vomiting and nausea, especially if you’ve got motion sickness.

This also is a mild sedative, so it can be like a tranquilizer, so it can help with anxiety management, and also other distress, especially those with neurosis.

Hydroxyzine is good because it is potent, and it works directly onto the H1 receptors, working as an inverse agonist, which means that it stops the histamines in the body, relieving inflammation and itching. It also is a weak kind of antagonize of the serotonin receptors, and other adrenergic receptors.

Benefits and drawbacks

Right now, cannabis seems to work synergistic with some drugs that are kind of sedatives, including benzos, barbiturates, opioids, and also some forms of antidepressants.

Right now, cannabinoids are great for modulating the system, and also reducing information, which can help with inflammatory cytokines, dampening them, especially if you have an immune response. It also can help reduce emetic effects, so if you feel nausea, this can help with that. It also can be used to taper off hydroxyzine if you dose this correctly.

However, there are some risks that go into this. It can increase your blood pressure, but it also may case hypotension, or low blood pressure. Anxiety is very common in this, and it can cause hyperventilating or hallucinations, especially in cases that are rare.

It does make your mouth dry.

You also may find that you’re tried, and you want to sleep a whole lot. You may notice as well that your coordination, balance, and dizziness is very common after taking this, along with confusion. There are also other side effects that can happen with this, since it can mess up the GI tract, making you constipated, cause tinnitus, which is the ringing inside your ears, and finally, headaches.

Medical Marijuana

While these experiences are quite rare, it’s not something that should be totally discounted. If you do need to take both, the best thing for you to do, is to start tapering off the hydroxyzine. You may notice that it helps you more if you just use cannabis, getting off of the drug. Slowly taper this off.

While this is great for any sorts of allergic reactions in the body, it can have negative effects, so be mindful of that before you use this, and keep it in mind when you try it as well.

Other Cannabis compounds Beyond THC

Cannabis is something that’s had a lot of research over the last decade or so, and while so many still see it as something harmful, there’s a lot of safe and effective ways to use this in various medical cannabis ways.

But did you know that while THC is one of the main compounds, there’s actually a lot more inside of this? Here, we’ll go over some of the top compounds in this, that are beyond what THC does and it’s not the only part of cannabis that’s easy, effective, and truly does help the body and mind. Here’s what else is in there!

Beyond Just THC

There is a lot more inside of there besides just THC, and that’s something that you need to understand, since this plays a role in the health plan that you’re going to take, and some of the benefits that you get out of this.

CBD

CBD us something that’s really well-known, and it’s something that you’re allowed to sell, even though marijuana is illegal at a federal level in some cases.

This has a lot of applications that do work for this. It helps with stress relief, managing pain, and also treats insomnia too. It’s got an effect that’s very calming on the body, which offer benefits of both mental and physical reactions, along with the treatment of many diseases.

While CBD may seem new, it’s actually something that’s been around since 1940, and it’s something that a lot of researchers have started to study for decades. There are even studies that back it up with research to showcase the effects of CBD, and why they’re good on the body.

CBG

This is the cliché “mother” cannabinoid, and this is something that actually turns into some of the lesser cannabinoids. This is something that has a lot of various uses, and it’s something that needs to be kept away and used separately before it’s converted into various compounds.

It’s associated in most cases with your digestive tract, relieving various symptoms of colorectal problems, including cancers and IBD in a lot of cases.

It’s actually been found as something that slows down cancer growth, however, do understand that most of the studies that are purporting this were done on animals, and not on humans, so bear that in mind.

CBN

This is another compound that actually is not found in cannabis that’s fresh, and that’s because it happens when you oxidize THC. This is something that if you want to have it, you need to expose your flower to air that’s open for a bit.

CBN is great for those who suffer from insomnia, and it’s something that’s super beneficial, and offers antibacterial benefits that boost your appetite, which is vital for people who are going though radiation, chemotherapy, or are too nauseated to have something to eat.

CBC

Finally, we have CBC, and while there isn’t a lot of fame to this one, it’s actually something that helps with something unique in those who use it. It’s really good for treating acne, something the other compounds aren’t good at. This one is really good, and it can help because it does not have the other benefits the others do, but it also does have anti-inflammatory benefits, and it does work with the receptors.

All of these do bind to the receptors within the body, which are used to treat a variety of different conditions, helping you have a better life, boosting your wellness, and also helping you get the best bodily response you can to cannabis as well.

Does CBD Really Help with Sleeping

Medical cannabis has been an option for a lot of people, and there are a lot of benefits to it. But what about CBD? What are the benefits of that? While it can help with sleep, it’s not just a simple take a little bit and then you conk out. Here, we’ll go over whether or not CBD is one that offers health benefits that boost and improve your body.

CBD’s Health Benefits

CBD is something that’s seen in a lot of hemp plants, and oftentimes, it’s referred to marijuana, but it’s not the same thing. There are two compounds that are in the cannabis plant, the other being THC, which is what’s responsible for making you feel high.

The biggest difference is the way the chemical makeup is, and both are arranged very differently. THC is psychoactive, which makes you feel euphoric and high, but CBD is not, so you won’t feel the high that THC normally makes you feel. Instead, it’s good for relaxation, which is good for connecting to happiness and well-being.

CBD can help with epileptic people, making sure that the seizures that they have happen less. It’s also great for anxiety conditions, being a natural painkiller for many people. Lots of people take this in order to treat migraines, chronic pain, along with inflammation.

Right now, the research is still ongoing, and we don’t really know whether or not this may help with other things. There are some studies that show it helps as an antipsychotic, but medical research hasn’t created conclusive evidence for this.

Can CBD Help?

Yes, it may help with this. Right now though, the research is still fairly early on, with more and more looking to see if there is a connection between this, and other sleep disorders. This can help with anxiety, stress, and other such problems, which means that it may help those who suffer from anxiety, and who don’t get enough sleep because of this.

So if you’re someone who has chronic anxiety, to the point where you can’t sleep, this can be the solution that you’re looking for, as it may help you with improving your ability to sleep through the night and reducing anxiety conditions. You should always make sure that you take the right amounts though. Some people end up taking too much, and it impacts show they’re able to fall asleep.  Or maybe too little of what keeps you awake at night.

The best way to prevent this is from talking to your doctor about it.

If you’re looking to try this, there are some good things though. CBD is something that’s available in over-the-counter products, or you can buy them online from other sellers, in order to get good, natural CBD that’s grown in America, and also gives you the holistic health that you want.

Remember though, that everyone is a bit different with the way that the body handles CBD. So while it may be the answer that you’re looking for, for others, it might not be the answer that you’re seeking out.

What you need to do, is to sit down, talk with your doctor, and ensure that there are proper conditions in place for this.  You want to make sure that you also have it set up so that you’re able to create conditions that boost your ability to rest and focus too.

If you do decide to utilize CBD prior to going to bed, always make  sure that you begin small, and use more if you’re not feeling the effects, or if it’s impacting the ability for you to sleep.

Cannabis and azithromycin

Azithromycin is an antibiotic that’s really good for handling a variety of different bacterial problems and infections. But if you mix any antibiotics with cannabis, it can cause some issues.

You can safely mix these ones though, and there was a study that did look at the way that the compounds in the cannabis plant might impact its effectiveness. Right now, there is no evidence that shows that there are bad interactions with azithromycin and also weed, so you can typically have both of these without any sorts of issues.

What Azithromycin Is

Azithromycin is basically a prescription that’s used for a variety of things, including the use and treatment of different infections, and are known as macrolide antibiotics.

Some pharmacists sell this under Zithromax, Zmax or Z Pak, and other names too. This is an option that people who can’t use penicillin can try.

Basically, this is taken via prescription, and it’s a pill your body is able to absorb, and it’ll work to naturally stop the growth of bacteria, and also treat both mild, and even moderate sorts of infections that bacteria do cause.

These may include:

  • Pneumonia
  • Strep throat
  • Travelers diarrhea
  • Chronic lung conditions
  • Middle ear infections
  • Chlamydia
  • Intestinal infections

The benefits and Drawbacks of mixing these

What happens if you use antibiotics with weed, particularly azithromycin? Well, there are only mild interactions, and right now, the many benefits do outweigh the risks that might be there. Some research for instance has been found that azithromycin will work well for those who combine this with marijuana.

That’s also important because according to information from the CDC directly, those who use antibiotics too much create what’s called antibiotic resistance,.. CBG and CBD also help with the reliance of antibiotics, as they can fight the bacteria that’s there. It’s good to help with the MRSA bacteria that azithromycin also is known to treat.

They also have some anti-inflammatory and different pain relief that’s there in order to help with fighting the infections.

What about the risk? The biggest risk is based on the types of methods that you use. For the most part, if you’re using azithromycin in order to treat pneumonia or bronchitis for example, it’s best to not inhale through vaping or smoking, as this can exacerbate all of this.

Edibles, drinks, oils you put under the tongue, and patches are the best ways to use this type of item together with azithromycin. However, if the reason why you’re using azithromycin is to treat something else, you don’t have to worry about it possibly creating weird effects.

Why Mixing Can Help

The biggest benefit and argument to mixing is that the terpenes and the cannabinoids within cannabis are naturally good against the bacteria that are pathogenic.

Azithromycin and weed, when you mix these together, are good for improving the way that your body heals, and you’ll be able to fight off the infection a whole lot faster.

THC also works on the nervous system, and the brain in order to help with the pain and the relief of such, so you’ll be happier, improve the mood, and also counteract a lot of the different side effects that azithromycin may cause.

Some of the side effects of azithromycin that cannabis might help with do include:

  • Losing appetite
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Pain in the abdomen.

You should make sure that if you’re going to take this antibiotic, always take the full dose too. Remember to as well not stop taking something that’s prescribed before you’re out of it too.

Cannabis and Nausea

Cannabis is great for a lot of reasons, but did you know it can help with nausea . We’ve all suffered from nausea in some way.  Whether it’s eating foods your body didn’t agree with, travel sickness, or even having medications without food, nausea is no fun. Nausea is basically discomfort that some one experiences within their stomach, creating that urge that they have to throw up.

It’s not a disease, or even a condition, but there are some causes for this. For instance, if you have chemotherapy, you can have severe nausea from this.  Sometimes, you may get it from medications that you’re prescribed to fix issues, but it’s because it has these side effects that you end up feeling bad. Some people also get this when they’re pregnant too, as in the case of morning sickness.

What can you do to relieve nausea? Well, eating meals that are small, minding your hydration, and also avoiding foods that exacerbates this can help. However, if the nausea is chronic, or severe, especially in the case of those who have chemotherapy, then you will want to look for treating nausea with cannabis. It might help you, especially since it’s actually approved by the FDA. In fact, Marinol, and Cesamet are two that are approved to treat cannabis.

Some people also use CBD in certain cases to help with treating nausea, and it’s actually really effective for treating various problems, including but not limited to chemotherapy and the like.

There is research that supports this too. It’s on the part of THC, which is considered to be naturally antiemetic, which means that it will stop you from vomiting.

Some also say that this works well with other kinds of medications that you might use for nausea, and stimulating the appetite of those who are sick, which can save your life, especially if you’re ill.

If you’re someone who has nausea in some form, you can use cannabis to help with this. If you take medication for this, but there is no relief to be found, consider medical cannabis, since nausea that’s severe is considered a condition that qualifies you for treatment with cannabis.  The doctor can find out more about the right strains, types, and whatnot, to help with the symptoms that you suffer from, and the treatment does also depend as well on the cause that’s under all of this.

The cool thing about this, is that there are now more ways to treat nausea with cannabis than ever before. Gone are the days where you could only get dry flowers to help with this. In fact, some people prefer these other ways for the sole reason of it’s easier for you to treat it in this fashion than if you’re trying to smoke it. You can get edibles, tinctures, and even topicals that can help with the nausea symptoms.

If you’re struggling to treat nausea, there are now different places for you to go that’ll help with improving the symptoms that are there. you just have to get the approval from a doctor before you start this, in order to get the best results possible.

There are also local dispensaries that you can go to in order to ask about this.  There are a lot of different dispensaries that are looking to possibly help you with your issue.  There are also different types of lists that you can check, and you can find strains that are ideal for nausea, and also, what places sell them, so you can go out, get the medicine you need, and get treated today!

Can CBD Reduce Fevers

Some people look for the newest ways to help with reducing some of the pain that they’re going through. There are a few who have turned to CBD but does it work for reducing fever? It can. CBD is something that works naturally within the cannabis plant and has been used for thousands of years as a type of alternative medicine. While it does reduce fevers, it can help only a little bit with others. It depends on the type of fever that’s there.

The Cause of Fevers

This is usually due to the immune system overreacting, especially when it comes to viruses and bacteria, especially in the case of a cold and whatnot.  If the body temperature goes over 100.5 degrees, that’s a chance for a fever to develop.

This is because it’s hard for the viruses and the bacteria to reproduce due to the heat, which is why the immune system triggers this.

The Evidence

There is a chance that it could work to reduce fevers that are the result of arthritis, autoimmune conditions, and allergies, especially if a fever is used to help fight off the reaction. The body uses this to basically fight off different stuff that seemingly doesn’t exist, and it can make the body ache, create stuffy noses, and also a sore throat and fevers too.

For autoimmune conditions, CBD actually does work to help with reading the fevers that are there, but they’re the result of basically inflammation in the body, and it directly doesn’t touch the fever, but it works as a way to naturally suppress the immune system, lower the inflammation, reduce the chronic pain that’s there.

Is there any evidence that that’s against this?

Right now, the animal studies that have been found is that for an actual fever that’s used for treating colds, it doesn’t really work, and the same goes for bacterial infections, as this is usually not something you want to suppress if it does happen. When you suppress the immune system against a bacterial infection, it makes their job so much harder, and it can make the illness last a whole lot longer.

Should I use It?

Right now, it’s not going to possibly harm you if you do choose to use it. It won’t reduce the fivers directly, but for those with chronic high fevers, it’ll benefit them.

It reduces the inflammation that’s there, controls the immune system, and protects your brain from the damage from fevers. It also does help with preventing certain viruses from possibly replicating too.

CBD also works with inhibiting the cytokines that cause inflammation, and usually, this can also reduce the possibility of inflammation there, so it might help with fevers that are directly related to this.

Sometimes, CBD also might help with preventing seizures that happen due to high fevers that occur in the body. it’s not a natural fever reducer, but it’s got a ton of neuroprotective elements to it that work.

It also is great for relaxing too, as it can help with resting, allowing you to overcome the infections that are there, and can make you feel a bit more comfortable too, something that you should definitely look at, especially if you’re choosing to use it as a way to naturally reduce the fevers that are there.

It can help, and some people have gotten a lot of benefits from using this. But it will not directly help with fevers due to bacterial infections, but those infections from autoimmune conditions do benefit over time, so it’s worth checking out too.
